Yale student and staff volunteers beautify outdoor space in Guilford
Yale University sponsored $2,500 towards the 2022 Week of Caring, which took place from October 17 – October 20. Members of the Yale Swim and Dive team and their head coach came out for the Women and Family Life cleanup in Guilford.
Volunteers from the United Way of Greater New Haven, including members of the Yale swimming and diving teams joined community members for the organization’s “Week of Caring” to clean up and beautify the outdoor space at Women and Family Life Center on Fair Street in Guilford.
We are cleaning up the playground, raking leaves, spreading mulch, do some weeding, really just clean up the outdoor space,” Dennis Velasquez, the United Way of Greater New Haven’s volunteer manager said.
